Week Two NFL Action: Winners, Losers and Three Jokes

Jaguars fans

You've probably heard by now about that Orlando TV station apologizing to its viewers for being forced to broadcast a Jacksonville Jaguars game.?It has to do with hidden, heck-with-the-fans TV rules designed to make the team owners mega gazillionaires.

What you may not know, and what I just discovered, is that coaches of Jacksonville's next opponent, Seattle, have apologized to the players for making them watch Jaguars game films.

The Jaguars remind me of what the old Tampa Bay coach John McKay said when, after another humiliating loss, reporters asked him what he thought about his team's execution.

"I'm in favor of it," he said.

Mediocre teams are dull. But, truly bad teams are always entertaining and it looks like that's what the Jaguars have going this year. Again.

Caution, stupid joke ahead:

"Why doesn't Orlando have an NFL football team?"

"Because then Jacksonville would want one."

Jacksonville made my list of the week's winners and losers. Among the winners: the Seahawks, Mario Williams, the Packers and anyone who watched the Eagles-Chargers game. People, this is must reading.
